"Elder Bateman and I rocking our Zone hats"

Missionary Mom Des here again. No group email this week. I think that is for two reasons: Elder Ogden went hiking yesterday and may have ran out of time to email, and I feel like he is finding it difficult to think of things to write about since we talk to him every week. I will give a little recap of what we talked about during our Skype call last night.

*A friend that Elder Ogden and his companion met on the street a few weeks ago finally came to church and had a really good experience. He is looking forward to learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

*It's full-on mango season and Elder Ogden could not be happier about that. :)

*Last Thursday his mission president, President Peterson, spent a good portion of the day with Elder Ogden and his companion. He just wanted to shadow them and experience a day with the elders. Elder Ogden said that he noticed people on the street were a lot more willing to stop and talk with them with President Peterson there. He enjoyed the experience and really loves his mission president.

*They met a new friend who is interested in hearing about the gospel. He also plays the cello, so Elder Ogden was excited to talk with him about that common interest.

*Elder Ogden is doing a great job of trying to stay focused during these last two months or so of his mission. He wants to finish strong and serve the Lord faithfully. Mark and I are so proud of him for dedicating his time to the Lord and serving Him with all his heart, might, mind, and strength.
